"Sold out!", said Alice of Chemcare Pharmacies when I ordered 2 stems of roses for Valentine's Day. There's no other place in this side of the planet where I can get good roses for this kind of occassion. But I cannot give up I have to try some other shops. Coming to Brian Bell, I saw a lot of people trying to get their special someone something. This is Valentine's Day but today is not just an ordinary Valentine's Day. Two of my good friends are getting married today. Mayette and Glenn have finally decided to tie the knot. Today, they will become husband and wife, for richer and poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do they part kind of thingy. These 2 stems of roses will be the bride and groom's gifts for their mothers during the giving-away-of-the-bride-to-the-groom-march.
Everybody was dressed up well for the occassion, the choir was well practiced with their voices. Everybody's face was happy. The ceremony went smoothly and pictures were taken afterwards. I was tasked to be the commentator for the church wedding rites. I was the closest person to witness all that was happening at the altar. And I was asking myself, "how would it feel if I were sitting there?" Hmmm... too complicated for me to know the answer now. Then reception followed at the Lae International Hotel. The reception was nice. The venue well decorated. After the dinner and the speeches was the dance. It was great! I left very light-hearted and went home with roses in my hand. This night was a good night. You can feel love was in the air. This night was Glenn~Mayette wedding, not just another ordinary Valentine's Day.
