It is again my turn to sponsor the Sunday mass. As this day is also the Morobe Show weekend, I was very occupied the whole morning. I went to Papindo in the afternoon to buy things to offer then straight went to church. I assigned readers with myself for the 1st reading. I didn't have the chance to rehearse so when I reached the lectern, I had to read it very slowly, making sure that everybody will understand what I am reading and at the same time trying to digest what I am reading. The slower I got when I realized the message it was trying to convey.
"The LORD is a God of justice, who knows no favorites.
Though not unduly partial toward the weak, yet he hears the cry of the oppressed.
The Lord is not deaf to the wail of the orphan, nor to the widow when she pours out her complaint.
The one who serves God willingly is heard; his petition reaches the heavens.
The prayer of the lowly pierces the clouds; it doesn't rest till it reaches its goal, nor will it withdraw till the Most High responds, judges justly and affirms the right, and the Lord will not delay."
